Johnson is a very common name, and Vaughan has been used for several generations as one of the names given to children, partly as a way of distinguishing this family from other Johnsons. It is said that Vaughan Alfred Johnson contemplated changing the family surname by deed poll to Vaughan-Johnson, but that was never done. Not all of his descendants were given the name Vaughan, but many of them were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site is also concerned with the relatives of the women who married into the family.
